Facebook Down, Mark Zuckerberg Lost Rp99 T

Jakarta, CNN Indonesia -- Facebook's big boss, Mark Zuckerberg, is said to have lost US$7 billion or equivalent to RP99.8 trillion after WhatsApp, Facebook and Instagram were down since Monday (4/10) night. This has also caused his position in the list of the richest people in the world to drop in the rankings.
The troubles Facebook, WhatsApp and Instagram have had for several hours have reduced Mark Zuckerberg's personal fortune.

Ad measurement firm Standard Media Index estimates Facebook lost about $545 thousand per hour during the disruption.

Facebook shares fell about 5 percent. Currently, Mark Zuckerberg dropped to sixth position with a fortune of US $ 120.9 billion, as quoted from Entrepreneur.

According to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index, he was ranked fifth in the list of the richest people in the world with assets worth US$121.5 billion, down US$366 million.

According to a DownDetector report, the disruption to Mark Zuckerberg's social media platform has occurred in various countries in Europe, Asia, Latin America and North America. Apart from that, they are also gathering a wave of investigations around social networks.

However, Facebook along with Instagram and WhatsApp services began to recover since Tuesday (5/10) morning.

"To the large community of people and businesses around the world who depend on us: we're sorry. We've been working hard to restore access to our apps and services and are happy to report that they're back online now. Thank you for supporting us." said Facebook quoted Tuesday (5/10) morning.

After the announcement, some Facebook users began to regain partial access to the three apps.

The Facebook app was down for several hours on Monday night. Cloudflare, a website security company said it was due to traffic routing issues. The problem makes the site unreachable to millions of users
